That’s the point. These are artificial colors, most night vision systems are monochrome, which takes away a lot of detail, specially when you want to use them to read anything, like that road sign.
Holy fuck thats night time
Hold my pancakes THIS IS NIGHTTIME??!?
why’s there glitter in the sky- *reads reblogs* oOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH THOSE ARE STAAAAAARSSS!!!!!!
japan basically has no laws regulating animal welfare
in pet stores it is possible to buy owls, monkeys, squirrels, meerkats, otters, marsupials, endangered reptiles, penguins, amadillos, alligators, and just about anything under the sun
all this on top of the regular cats and dogs who of course come from mills and its estimated only 10% of pets bought aren’t from pet shops. meanwhile shelters in japan euthanize 80% (over 200,000) of animals they recieve each year.
“The reason for these high culling rates is overcrowding. Shelters receive around 200 animals a day, and manage to rehome an average of just two. Once an animal has been placed in a shelter, it has, depending on the prefecture, about three to seven days left to be adopted before the shelter must decide its fate.
“
so yeah next time you see a cute japanese video of an exotic animal on instagram and spread it, this is what you’re supporting.
Reblogging this because supporting the hedgehog café in Tokyo is supporting a very shady pet trade. Same goes for many of the popular Japanese hedgehog instagram pages (a lot of the viral hedgehog videos on Facebook are from Japanese owners as well) - there are definitely a few owners out there doing the best they can to improve pet care in Japan, but unfortunately standards remain very low.
